Government to bring new policy soon for large-scale solar equipment manufacturing to make it competitive
- It may include a complete ecosystem for solar projects such as contours of power purchase agreement, grid connection, land to put solar panels and manufacturing of equipment.
- India will go in for appeal against recent WTO's panel ruling ruling that has stated that the country's power purchase agreements with solar firms were "inconsistent" with international norms.
- The rulings of the WTO's dispute settlement panel can be challenged in the WTO's Appellate body.
